In October, Eli Lilly and Co. became the latest drug manufacturer to announce that it will begin limiting quantities of pharmaceutical products shipped to Canadian wholesalers. In an attempt to stem the tide of reimportation of drug products to U.S. consumers, Eli Lilly plans to ship to Canadian suppliers only the amounts of product that Canadian customers will use. Eli Lilly's contracts with Canadian wholesalers do not allow exports out of Canada.
