Lawrence N. Rothbart, formerly of counsel to Cohen Goldstein Silpe, has launched a solo practice in Manhattan focusing on matrimonial and family law, mediation and collaborative law.

 

Hofstra Law School has named Nassau Supreme Court Justice Elaine Jackson Stack as the new director of its master of laws program in Family Law. Justice Stack, who has been a special professor at the school since 2005, is leaving the bench after 21 years. She also been named Hofstra's matrimonial and family law jurist in residence. Justice Stack is a graduate of St. John's University School of Law.

Blank Rome has elected matrimonial attorney Stephen P. McSweeney to the partnership. McSweeney is a graduate of Pace Law School and has been practicing matrimonial and family law for more than 20 years.
