Morgan Lewis & Bockius (Washington, DC, San Francisco): Six health care regulatory specialists have left Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal to join Morgan Lewis & Bockius, five based in Washington, DC, and one in San Francisco. The six new partners, who join the firm's Food & Drug Administration and health care regulatory practice, are Joyce Cowan, a health care transactions and public policy attorney who has spent 20 years working with hospitals, drug makers and physicians groups, lobbying Congress and the Executive branch; Kathleen McDermott, a former assistant U.S. attorney and health care fraud coordinator in Maryland; John Rah, who advises health care service providers, suppliers and managed care groups; Albert Shay, who counsels hospitals and medical centers on a range of regulatory, compliance and transactional matters; Howard Young, formerly a senior attorney and deputy branch chief with the Office of Counsel to the Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General; and Reese Hirsch, who specializes in California state health care programs.

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn (Detroit): Jennifer L. Benedict has been promoted to partner in the firm's health care department. Benedict will focus on representing hospitals and other health care providers and is experienced in drafting and negotiating asset purchase agreements, leases, educational affiliation and services contracts. Benedict received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Toledo College of Law and was a member of the Order of the Coif.

Genova, Burns & Vernoia (Newark, NJ): Christina Butler Murphy has joined the health and hospital law practice group at Genova, Burns & Vernoia as an associate. Murphy was formerly an associate in the health care group at Drinker Biddle & Reath in Florham Park, NJ.

Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock & Dodig (Philadelphia): Personal injury attorney RobertaBobbiePichini, a partner with the firm, has been elected vice president of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Pichini has specialized in litigating catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice and products liability cases for more than 25 years.

McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (Atlanta): Mark S. Lange and Emily C. Crosby have rejoined McKenna Long & Aldridge following stints in other firm and corporate law departments. Lange and Crosby will return to the Corporate department to focus on the health care industry.

GrayRobinson (Orlando, FL): Richard L. Barry has joined the firm as a senior associate in the Orlando office. Barry will focus his practice on health care and insurance litigation, including property claims, medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, vehicular liability, general liability, risk management counseling and appeals. Barry received his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law.
