This month, Jaffe's insiders look into Crain's Chicago Business. This business magazine, with a circulation of over 50,000 readers and over 125,000 registered users, has served as a source of local business news and information to Chicago's most influential business and legal executives for more than a quarter century. Crain's Chicago has sister publications in Cleveland, Detroit, New York and Mexico. Each of the Crain's business publications operates distinctly in the sphere of its home city, yet they share a similar look and interest.

Business Magazine with a Legal Hat

Crain's Chicago Business launched a redesigned format in October 2004. The magazine now has three distinct sections. The 'Upfront' news section is the first five to 15 pages of the magazine, and features hard-hitting news stories on Chicago-area companies such as Boeing, Motorola, McDonald's and Sears, as well as the commercial real estate market, finance, technology, health care and politics. It also includes the people and opinions columns. The Business of Life section is located at the back of the magazine; exploring balancing work and home life, and offering a peek at the sometimes lavish lifestyles of executives ' vacation homes, hobbies and the like.
