Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP announced that it has opened an office in Shanghai, People's Republic of China to serve strategic client needs and increase access to the significant growing legal and commercial activity in the region.

Kenneth Chang, an intellectual property attorney who has practiced for more than 10 years in the firm's Denver office, will serve as Kilpatrick Townsend's managing partner of the Shanghai office. Charles Gray, an intellectual property associate in the firm's Denver office, also has relocated permanently to Shanghai.

Kilpatrick Townsend's Shanghai office is located in the ZhangJiang High-Tech Park which includes an area of over 25 square kilometers with 100,000 employees and approximately 2,000 high-tech companies.

For nearly 20 years, Kilpatrick Townsend has provided Chinese companies intellectual property legal advice. “Strategically, we wanted to be where our clients are located and ZhangJiang fits our needs perfectly,” said Chang.

Accounting and consulting firms J.H. Cohn LLP and Reznick Group, P.C. have announced the completion of their combination, forming CohnReznick LLP. CohnReznick is now the 11th largest firm in the country with 25 offices, 2,000 employees and combined revenues of more than $450 million.

The combination establishes broad geographic reach for the new firm with headquarters in New York and offices from Boston to Atlanta on the East Coast; Sacramento, Los Angeles and San Diego on the West Coast; and a growing presence in Austin and Chicago. The firm also has offices in Chennai, India and Cayman Islands, and is a member of Nexia International, the 10th largest global accounting, tax and advisory network.

J.H. Cohn's Chief Executive Officer, Thomas J. Marino, and Reznick Group's Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth E. Baggett, will serve as Co-CEOs of CohnReznick.
